The Clyde-Savannah Central School District has named Rachel Connor, current Wayne County Deputy Sheriff, as its school resource officer for the 2018-19 school year.  Connor, a graduate of Clyde-Savannah High School, has worked at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office since 2006.

“School resource officers play an important role in each community, and I’m looking forward to working at the school I graduated from,” said Connor.

“Our top priority is to create a safe environment for our students and staff,” said Michael Hayden, Superintendent of Clyde-Savannah Central School District. “We’re confident that Deputy Connor will provide a comforting presence to our community.”

This marks the first year that the Clyde-Savannah Central School District will have a school resource officer, who is responsible for overseeing student and staff safety throughout the district. The school resource officer will make safety-related presentations to students, staff, and the school community throughout the year.
